A Tyre is the basic link between a car and the road. If the car has a good set of Tyres then the overall performance of the car shall improve viz-a-viz
Handling
Steering
Acceleration
Braking
Below are some of the basics of selecting the correct set of Tyres for a normal passenger vehicle.
The 5 important criteria to be considered while buying the right set of Tyres for your vehicle are:
1. Whether to go for a Tubeless or With-Tube Tyre
2. The correct size of Tyre
3. Pattern of Tread
4. Tyre Quality
5. A thorough comparison of available brands.
To enhance the lives of your Tyre, it is advisable not to use normal air rather Nitrogen is better since it keeps the Tyre cool and the probability of a puncture is far-less.
Besides this, normal air mainly contains Nitrogen (78%) and Oxygen (~21%). The actual problem is this O2. Its molecules, actually, are small enough to pass through the rubber compound of the tyre. This results in the decreasing the air pressure in the tyre over some days. Next comes Water. Water, even steam of it, is responsible for pressure swings with temperature. This might increase the risk of a blowout.
Filling nitrogen will enhance the tyre life by keeping it cool, while it will require lesser visits to the tyre shop.
